March 6, 2016, 8:26 am

Kuwait's skies on Saturday were lit with a variety of colorful fireworks as part of the "Kuwait Al-Ataa" (Giving) festival held on the occasion of 55th National Day and the 25th Liberation Day, as well as the 10th anniversary of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's ascension to power.

The landmark Kuwait Towers, the site of the celebrations, showcased a laser show of images of the country's history, depicting major events of the past since Kuwait was established, through the Iraqi invasion and last year's Imam Al-Sade Mosque terrorist attack. Special focus was given to His Highness the Amir's wise leadership and diplomacy

Thousands of Kuwaitis and expatriates were overwhelmed with pleasure and delight as their eyes witnessed the spectacular firework display that was scintillating in its performance.
