MoE in a fix as transfer of 350 teachers’ visit visas rejected
August 3, 2014, 9:08 am

Ministry of Education is up the creek, as Interior Ministry has refused to approve the residencies of 350 expatriates applying for teaching jobs in the new academic year after successfully passing the interview, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily.

Ministry of Education recently adopted a new policy to sign up local teachers, but fell into trouble by interviewing teachers who had come to the country on visit visa. According to the Interior Ministry, those who come to the country on visit visa should leave after specific period, and they are not allowed to transfer visas to work permit.
