39 prostitutes among 89 held in Jleeb raid

Farwaniya police has recently launched a huge campaign in a suspicious location within Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area and arrested 89 Asian expatriates including 39 prostitutes, violators of residency law and absconders, reports local daily.

Reportedly, the campaign lasted for three hours and the suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Drugs seized: Abdali border customs officers arrested an Iraqi expatriate for attempting to smuggle two kilograms of methamphetamine into the country, reports Al-Anba daily.

Reportedly, the inspectors found the drug hidden in the belongings of the driver who had come from Iraq.

The suspect was referred with the contraband to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Account hacked: A 17-year old Kuwaiti girl was arrested and referred to Juvenile Prosecution for hacking the personal Snapchat account of her relative and uploading a video clip featuring a naked woman, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources, securitymen had initially arrested the owner of the account who denied appearing in the video clip. She then accused the girl of hacking her account.

Valet thieves: Two Egyptians who offer valet parking services in a well-known commercial complex were arrested for stealing from the parked cars, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a security source.

He said the two suspects took advantage of their work to steal valuables, including cell phones, perfumes, wallets and others from the cars that they parked.

Securitymen, after receiving several complaints, carried out intensive investigations and arrested the two thieves in a trap.

Cop assaulted: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 20s exchanged blows with a traffic officer for issuing a traffic citation on the King Fahad Motorway. A security source said the citizen was driving a tinted-glass vehicle when the officer spotted him. He was ordered to pull over for questioning after refusing to show the officer his driving license. The suspect is said to have attacked the officer when he decided to seize his vehicle and they exchanged blows, which resulted in injuries to both of them. They all provided medical reports showing injuries sustained during the fight. A case was registered.
