9,000 await deportation

A team of officers from the Public Security Sector established 321 security checkpoints in all governorates; leading to the arrest of 24 people wanted by law for involvement in criminal cases, 51 involved in civil cases, 195 who violated the Residency Law, 493 who have no legal documents, 45 with narcotic substances and five for the possession of liquor.

This also resulted in the recovery of 30 stolen vehicles, issuance of 1,812 traffic citations, and the officers dealt with 1,331 road accidents. Moreover, a total of 8,874 expatriates found to have violated the laws of the country will be deported upon completion of legal procedures.
