Anti-corruption body seeking cooperation with Audit Bureau
April 23, 2014, 9:19 am

"The Public Anti-Corruption Authority is keen on cooperating with Kuwait Audit Bureau so that the efforts of the two bodies integrate into stronger action in countering corruption and stemming administrative and financial breaches, and to benefit from the bureau's expertise in fields of mutual interest."

In statements to KUNA on this issue, authority chairman Chief Justice Abdulrahman Al-Nimesh added that he and Audit Bureau Chief Abdulaziz Al-Adsani reviewed areas of competency the two bodies shared, in a meeting at the bureau's headquarters earlier on Tuesday. The meeting, he said, reviewed and stressed means to cooperate and coordinate.

Al-Nimesh pointed out he particularly discussed the bureau's expertise in announcing vacancies, receiving and testing applicants, and deciding merit of would-be employees after tests and interviews. "We, on our part, are about to finish drafting our legal and organizational measures and criteria for appointment mechanisms," the chief justice added. For the time being, he said, the authority would use the same system employed by the bureau.

The official hailed the spirit of cooperation and willingness to help out on the part of Al-Adsani along with Bureau Undersecretary Ismail Al-Ghanim
