Blame shifted to Syrian wife in Filipina maid murder
February 12, 2018, 8:55 am

The aunt of the Lebanese man Nader Essam Assaf, who is accused with his Syrian wife Muna Hasoun of killing their Filipina domestic worker and keeping her body in a freezer for more than one year, has alleged the wife was the responsible party. This was said during an interview with Kuwait daily Al- Rai.

Cousins of the Lebanese suspect said his wife is shrewd and controls him in a way that he can’t even smoke in front of her. She is alleged to have dismissed the mother-in-law while on a visit to Kuwait before her visit visa expired.

They claimed that Nader has no connection to the crime and strongly believes that the wife was to blame.

Mother of the Lebanese suspect said her son is currently in Syria and in bad health after undergoing a cardiac operation. The son is said to have told the mother while visiting a police station in Syria.
