Bosnia, Bulgaria, Greek Islands newest destinations for Kuwaiti tourists

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and the two Greek Islands of Mykonos and Santorini have become the newest tourists destinations for Kuwaitis in the past few years.

The main attractions of Bosnia and Herzegovina are their outstanding natural beauty, reasonable living conditions and most importantly their Islamic characteristic.

Meanwhile, the Mykonos and Santorini Islands have seized the attention of young people where they choose to spend their honeymoon for the islands' romantic atmosphere.

In separate interviews with KUNA, on Saturday, some travel agents agreed that this year's travel season will not begin until the end of the fasting month of Ramadan (end of July) when ticket prices will reach an all-time high.
Nonetheless, a week before Ramadan starts, some people travel for brief vacations to close by countries such as Dubai and Sharm El-Sheikh.

They pointed out that Frankfort, London and Istanbul are fixed travel destinations for Kuwaitis all year round. They added that interest to travel to Europe, especially to Germany, have been on the rise in the past few years.

Meanwhile, religious trips to Makkah have dropped this year amidst growing fears of the spread of coronavirus in Saudi Arabia.
