Plainclothes policemen have arrested an unidentified Indian for trading in visit visas, reports a local daily. The daily added, after police received a tip-off from an unidentified source that the suspect was selling visit visas for KD 500 each, Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Passports Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah issued a directive to set a trap and arrest the suspect.

Following his arrest the Indian is said to have admitted to selling 20 such visas and guided police to his accomplice who turned out to be a criminal and was wanted by law in connection with 12 fraud cases. Police have reportedly seized from the man false seals and some transactions which he had printed by himself in his home and used illusory names of Kuwaitis and their civil IDs.
