June 14, 2015, 9:23 am

Foreign students who intend to study in the United Kingdom are required to pay additional fees in order to benefit from the National Health Services (NHS) during their stay in Britain, reports Al-Anba daily. In this regard, Civil Service Commission (CSC) on the order of the British Immigration Department has notified all government authorities on the additional fees imposed on foreign students coming from outside the United Kingdom to make it possible for them to enjoy the National Health Services (NHS) while in Britain.

In a letter addressed to the government authorities-particularly the Ministry of Higher Education, CSC called for the students who want to apply for student or visitor visa to do so online and pay the required fee as per the intended period of stay and purpose of visit.

Report indicated that several British universities have since asked the students who obtain final admission to provide photocopy of the receipt indicating payment of the additional fee, while the government authorities and Ministry of Higher Education are obliged to notify employees and students intending to study in the British universities to follow the instruction.
