May 10, 2014, 9:24 am

Chairperson of the Lawyers Society Hamad Al-Wardan has said the attempt to impose the draft law of salary unification on citizens through a questionnaire conducted by the Parliament and the Government at the Avenues is only a suspicious game, adding the legislation must be transparent serving public interests, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily. He added the draft law of salary unification violates the Constitution and citizens’ rights, disclosing the intention of Government and the Parliament to engage in the issue to reduce the number of workers on the pretext of unifying salaries based on a strategic alternative solution, which he stressed, is just a new game.

Meanwhile, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) will not renew 3,600 contract nominations if the sector intends to unify salaries, imploring all employees to oblige their syndicates to take a stand against the questionnaire that violates law and prevents the workers from getting their rights. In another development, MP Askar Al-Enezi announced his decision to donate KD 10,000 for the construction of an autism center for children on a site beside the current autism center, reports Al-Anba daily.

In a statement issued during his visit to Kuwaiti Autism Center on Thursday, Al-Enezi affirmed that the center is a source of pride for the Kuwaiti community. During his visit, he observed the educational methodologies and services provided to autistic children.

He also suggested establishing two other autism centers in Jahra and Ahmadi areas to serve the residents of those areas and reduce pressure in the current center. MP Al-Enezi requested the concerned authorities such as the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to coordinate by forming a joint committee and working on solving the problems faced in the autism center.
