Cabinet mulls work revamp approach

The Kuwaiti cabinet on Thursday thrashed out fresh ways to overhaul the governmental work approach and to fend off previous performance defects.

The discussion took place during an extraordinary cabinet meeting presided over by Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

The cabinet considered the governmental work program as part of serious efforts to improve development efficiency and to achieve holistic reform and sustainable development, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of Health Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said in remarks following the meeting.

During the meeting, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development Adel Al-Wugayan explained steps taken to work out the governmental work program in coordination with various state bodies involved on reference frameworks, obstacles, challenges and potentials, the minister said.

The ministers, moreover, reviewed the good efforts of the National Assembly (parliament) to cater for citizens and their problems and to fulfill their expectations and hopes, he noted
