The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Musallam Al-Shahoumi overturned a verdict issued by another court which sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to life imprisonment and instead acquitted him of impersonating a police officer and robbing an expatriate in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area.

According to the case file, the suspect kidnapped the plaintiff after convincing him that he is a detective and then took him to a remote location to rob him.

During the court session, the defense counsel Lawyer Mohammad Shihab requested the court to acquit his client due to lack of sufficient evidences.
