Detention of 3 suspects in Sulaibiya heist extended
June 3, 2014, 9:06 am

The Detention Renewal Judge has extended detention of three suspects in the vegetable market heist in Sulaibiya until completion of investigations. Case files indicate that one of the accused — a Kuwaiti — denied all the charges leveled against him; claiming another suspect — a Bedoun — gave him some money to be used in their joint commercial project.

Another suspect, a Syrian, also denied the murder charge but admitted being an accomplice; indicating that the Bedoun is the mastermind. The Bedoun, on the other hand, confessed to all other charges, except murder. He said his intention was to fire a warning shot, not to kill; adding that the Syrian burnt the car while the Kuwaiti had nothing to do with the crime.
