Kuwait has been experiencing unstable weather conditions since Saturday night with intermittent rainfalls, followed by strong sandstorm with winds blowing up to 70 km/h; thereby, reducing visibility to about 500 meters. This led to the suspension of marine navigation at Shuwaikh and Shuaiba ports, amidst expectations that the dusty weather and lower temperatures will continue in the coming days.

Director of Meteorology Department Mohammad Karam said the weather will improve in terms of visibility with the gradual disappearance of clouds and rain, but this will be followed by active northwesterly winds causing dust. In his recent press statement, Karam explained that on Monday, dust will be suspended in the sky and the wind speed will be moderate as the temperature is expected to be as low as 11 degrees Celsius in a day or so. He revealed the highest temperature recorded on Sunday was 21 degrees Celsius and this moderate temperature will continue until Tuesday. He added the weather will soon be clear and sunny with unstable slow wind direction.
