E-Crimes Department hunts down e-criminals

 Anyone who exploits the social networking websites to commit crimes will be hunted down sooner than later, even if it takes months, says an official of investigation department of the E-Crimes Department.

The official said the department is like any other investigation department, but the only difference is this department personnel do not roam on the streets but they surf on the Internet to monitor the security situation. The official added, between 1 and 15 persons are arrested every day and 90 percent of the unknown cases are referred to the police stations. The official added, after 7January, 2016, the cases will be filed with the Public Prosecution and not with the police stations.
