The Environment Public Authority (EPA) said on Saturday that it continues to keep abreast of all environmental conditions in the country, through continuous inspection campaigns of land and marine environments.
EPA had paid a visit to Kubbar island as part of a comprehensive environmental initiative that aims to safeguard the environment from any detrimental elements, EPA Director General Sheikh Abdullah Ahmad Al-Humoud Al-Sabah told KUNA.
Moreover, the EPA Director General noted that the visit sought to detect any existing environmental problems on the island and ways to remedy them, adding that visitors to the island were urged to eschew any practices that are malignant to the ecosystem.
He also underscored that EPA is committed to ensure that all environmental protection laws remain stringent to ensure environmental conservation.
