Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi held talks with visiting Saudi King Abdullah at Cairo Airport on bilateral coordination and common action in the face of challenges facing the region.

The Egyptian-Saudi summit talks, held shortly after King Abdullah's arrival, also dealt with developments in Iraq, Syria and Libya, a source at the presidency who was at the airport told KUNA.

King Abdullah congratulated Al-Sisi for winning the presidential elections and leadership of Egypt.

Al-Sisi, said the source, thanked King Abdullah for Saudi Arabia's great support of Egypt.

King Abdullah stopped in Cairo on his way back home from Morocco, to meet with Al-Sisi.
