Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab is scheduled to visit Kuwait for three days on Sunday heading an economic delegation.

Mahlab is expected to meet His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, according to his spokesperson.

These encounters are expected to be followed by another with Kuwait's parliament speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim.

His delegation, which includes the central bank governor and the ministers of petroleum, housing and investment, will also meet representatives of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Kuwait Investment Authority and Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Encounters will also be held with the Kuwait-based Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.

The visit comes to highlight Egypt's resolve that "despicable terrorist operations" will not impede plans for upcoming elections, attracting investments in Egypt and providing job opportunities to locals, added the spokesperson.

The remarks were made in reference to the synchronous bombings carried out by Islamic State (ISIL) militants on security facilities in Egypt which claimed the lives of at least 30 people and wounded around 50 others.
