Female crew on KAC to wear ‘legitimate clothes’, says MP
August 8, 2015, 8:04 am

Going back to what is deemed inappropriate timing for controversial proposals — mainly because the region is surrounded by threats from all sides, MP Dr. Abdurrahman Al- Jeran has presented a proposal obliging the female crew in all Kuwait Airways flights to wear ‘legitimate clothes’ in accordance with the Sharia, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Without specifying what he meant by legitimate clothes nor stating the requirements, Al- Jeran said his proposal is based on Article 2 of the constitution which states Islam as the main religion in the country with Sharia as the dominant source of legislation.

"For this reason, I came up with the proposal to reactivate values and customs of the Kuwaiti society that have been observed throughout history and to promote a peaceful and conservative image of the country to the rest of the world," Al Joan explained.
