Based on the directives of H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, some ministerial committees have been engaged to review some laws currently in force to look into the possibility of amending them in a way that serves the welfare of the country and its citizens, reports Al-Anba daily.

Ministerial sources said some laws related to security have been discussed by government to amend some laws pertaining to public security and render heavy punishment in some laws, noting the amendments will be referred to parliament at the start of the new parliamentary term.

Sources indicated that government is inclined to intensify the punishment related to individual actions that lead to riots or conducting unlicensed gathering and disrupting public order and security.
