Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5 September in India as a mark of tribute to the contributions made by the teachers and is an occasion for students to express their gratitude towards their teachers.

Students of Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK) Senior displayed their love and gratitude to their teachers on the day with various programs organized by the School Senate, which reflected the respect and appreciation that students have for their teachers. The students presented a series of cultural programs, including a melodious duet song and an enchanting dance number that enthralled the audience.

Sidharth Sudheer, the Senate member expressed his gratefulness to the teachers by saying, “If there was a world without teachers, then it would be a world without progress.”

Appreciating the efforts put by the students in organizing the event, Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator said, “Respect should come from heart and not through the cards and gifts.” He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the teachers. He also paid homage to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President and second President of India.  Senate Advisor, George Swamy then enlightened the students with a motivational speech.
