Indian Ambassador Meets Farwaniya Governor on Residents' Issues

Ambassador of India Sunil Jain accompanied by a few prominent members of the Indian community residing in Farwaniya region called on Governor of Farwaniya Governorate H.E. Sheikh Faisal Al-Hamoud on Wednesday, 15 Oct to apprise about difficulties faced by the Indian community residing in the region.

In the meeting, the Governor warmly recalled the close and friendly India-Kuwait ties since history and stated that the Indians in Kuwait make the largest expatriate community and deserve respect and appreciation. He further affirmed the safety, security and the welfare of the citizens/residents in the Governorate to be his top priority. In acknowledging the issue, he added that he was personally aware of the problems of the Indian community residing in his Governorate and that he would work towards resolving those issues.
