Inquiry commission to be formed to handle anti-corruption cases
January 11, 2017, 9:11 am

The Supreme Judicial Council will form an inquiry commission to handle cases filed by Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Faleh Al-Azb said Tuesday.

The commission will be neutral to be able to look into all the cases filed transparently and subjectively, the Minister told the press.

He pointed out that the anti-corruption authority plays a vital role in making inquiries and finding facts on cases filed which, hence, will be referred to the general prosecution for further steps to be taken.

As for MPs grilling against the anti-corruption body, the minister's grilling is a constitutional prerogative that should be exercised whenever it was needed.
