October 29, 2014, 8:37 am

The family of Kuwaiti citizen Misfer Al- Hajri who was kidnapped in Lebanon two months ago are still struggling to collect the KD 170,000 ransom asked by the kidnappers for his release, reports Al-Rai daily. The brother of the victim, Issa Al-Hajri, has again appealed to the people to donate money saying the family was able to raise only half the money.

He added, the kidnappers made my brother talk to me: ‘In a feeble voice my brother said if the money is not raised they will send my body in a coffin’. Misfer is 37-year-old and is a university student. He is married and has six children. He went to Lebanon on a business trip and during his trip some men kidnapped him in Beirut. The kidnappers had reported asked for $8 million and after intense negotiations settled for KD 170,000.
