Kuwait can benefit from Chinese economic expertise in development - His Highness PM

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said Sunday Kuwait could benefit from China's economic expertise to help boost development in Kuwait.

His Highness the Prime Minister, in a statement before his departure to Beijing at the invitation of Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, said his visit is "part of Kuwait's keenness on openness to the world and to getting acquainted with, and benefitting from, China's economic expertise which could contribute to boosting development in the country." He said Kuwait sould actively interact with its regional and international surroundings, as well as cementing relations with all countries.

His Highness the Prime Minister appreciated economic experience in the East Asian countries in general and in China in particular. The Chinese economy was "rapidly progressing," he noted.
He said he would convey greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the Chinese President Xi Jinping, who has close relations with His Highness the Amir.

His talks with the Chinese officials will deal with ways of further cementing bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest, His Highness Sheikh Jaber said.

His Highness the Prime Minister was seen off at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Jarrah Al-Sabah, Sheikhs, Ministers, Governors, advisors at His Highness the Prime Minister's Diwan, senior commanders of the Army, Police and National Guard.
