Events such as the 41st Kuwait international book fair, preparations for the Islamic moderation conference in Egypt in March 2017, as well as inviting figures and officials to partake the finale of the Kuwait as capital of Islamic culture will hopefully contribute to the success of the event, said the minister.

The Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) chose Kuwait as capital of Islamic culture for 2016 during a meeting for Islamic cultural ministers held in Baku, Azerbaijan 2009.
