Kuwait denies secret, public contacts with Israel
April 15, 2014, 9:35 am

Kuwait Monday firmly denied Israeli Foreign Minister's claims he made in an interview with Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper about meetings, contacts and talks between Tel Aviv and Kuwait.

"These claims are baseless. There are no meetings, official or unofficial contacts, public or secret," a Foreign Ministry source said in a statement to KUNA.

He said that Kuwait has a "firm and public" position regarding the contact with Israel.

Kuwait, added the source, was committed to the Arab positions vis-a-vis Israel, and it would be the "last (country) to normalize relations with Israel.
