Kuwait helps illegal residents with jobs, alms
December 24, 2016, 4:36 pm

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs addresses humanitarian issues in treatment of illegal residents, the minister said on Saturday. Some aspects of the ministry plan stipulate employment of this expatriate segment in sectors affiliated to the ministry; in coordination with the Central Apparatus for Illegal Residents' Affairs, said Mohammad Al-Jabri, also Minister of State for Municipal Affairs.

From a humanitarian perspective, he asserted in a statement that these people need jobs, noting that their employment is based on each one's specialty and the market needs.

The State of Kuwait, which has signed UN human rights laws, takes into consideration these rights and always seek to preserve them, he added. Moreover, the ministry officials take into consideration their social and living status, thus zakat funds are allotted to those in need in this segment.
