Kuwait’s celebration of Eid comes with best images of National Unity

Kuwait’s celebration of Eid al-Fitr this year comes with the best images of national unity as Kuwaitis stood united in facing terrorist plots which targeted national security, says Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mubarak Al-Khurainej. Al-Khurainej, along with other lawmakers, expressed Eid greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al- Ghanim, members of the executive and legislative authorities, the citizens and expatriates. They prayed that God Almighty continues to protect Kuwait from harm, and for its people to enjoy security and stability.

According to Al-Khurainej, the resounding victory of Kuwait’s leadership and its people over attempts to sow sedition and division is regarded as the biggest blow to terrorism. He hopes that safety, security, stability and peace reign supreme all over the world. He pointed out Kuwait passed the toughest test in its security; thereby, proving its ability to combat terrorism so it remains an oasis of safety and security, as well as an example in promoting peaceful coexistence and humanity with the Amir as leader of humanitarian work. Echoing the deputy speaker, MP Askar Al-Anazi asserted the celebration of Eid al-Fitr this year is special due to the great atmosphere of national unity. He reiterated that all Kuwaitis stood as one in dealing with the terrorist attack on Imam Al- Sadiq Mosque.

He said the entire nation thwarted terrorist plots aimed at sowing discord and destabilizing the country. He also implored God to save Kuwait, its Amir, Crown Prince and people from all forms of harm. MP Mansour Al-Zufairi prayed that God Almighty will continue to shower the leadership and people of Kuwait with blessings as the whole nation celebrates Eid Al-Fitr. He wishes Kuwait more success, progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince.

Meanwhile, MP Adnan AbdulSamad asked Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled about his ministry’s policy in appointing heads of Kuwaiti cultural offices around the world and their cultural representatives. He wants to know the reasons behind the rejection of four persons nominated by the Academic Committee at the Ministry of Education, considering they are highly qualified for the post.
