Taking a lead in implementing many of Prime Minister Modi’s vision, the Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia will complete one year in office on December 13 with a massive celebration that has been planned for the occasion.  But most important the Chief Minister will reaffirm her resolve to give to the people corruption free governance.

More than two hundred thousand party workers are expected to converge in the state capital Jaipur for the celebration which will be attended by several Union Ministers, State ministers and party top brass. Apart from a workers' meet, an exhibition of the works and achievements of the BJP government will also be organised.

The meeting comes at the most opportune time for the Chief Minister as she has just led her party to a whopping victory in the just concluded civic polls in the state.

Ever she stormed to power with a landslide victory, Raje unveiled a slew of measures to empower women, convert normal villages to a smart village, addressing the issue of power and drinking water, improving infrastructure like highways, rural urban connectivity and  modernisation of agriculture.

Rajasthan has earned nationwide acclaim for its Bhamashah Financial Empowerment Scheme for woman that not only provides health and insurance but also pension to the woman in the family who is considered head.  More than half a million families have already been enrolled in the state, senior BJP Vice President Satyapal Malik said.

Malik who looks after Rajasthan for the BJP said that the scheme modeled on Prime Minister Modi vision is to empower poorest of the poor woman and bring them into mainstream by giving their financial independence and secure their future through pension.  “Unlike other schemes, in the Bhamashah it is women which are treated as the head of the family”.

While stressing that the focus of the Vasundhara government is providing corruption free governance, Malik said that welfare measures also include converting every village as a smart village which will have all facilities, toilet in every household, roads, schools and entertainment centers.  “Each of these villages is called as Nirmal village under the scheme”.

Malik told The Times that the state which is rich in mines especially marble quarry and also in oil and natural gas, the state government has taken a decision to allot future tenders through online.  “It is the effort to state government to ensure transparency and fair play”, he added.

Rich in sunshine and wind speed especially in the desert terrain, Raje government is harnessing both solar and wind power to generate electricity and in a couple of years the state will have surplus power.  “The Chief Minister has initiated several measures to augment power generation in the state”
Dates and olive oil farming are the new generation of crops that have added ion the state agriculture kitty.  Already with modern technology in agriculture in place, the state government has identified huge tract of lands for date farming, said Malik who drafted the BJP national manifesto on Agriculture. Date farming will be our key areas in the farm sector, he said.

Tourism continues to be the state main focus area and the Malik said that the thrust will be on desert tourism which will include family stay in tents, folk and traditional cultural dances, bird sanctuaries that houses great Indian bustard, safaris. “In Barmer every ten kilometers you will find an old palace or houses that itself is a great tourist attraction”.

Last year, BJP won 162 out of 199 seats scripting a virtual history and followed by winning the entire 25 Lok Sabha seat in the general election this year.  “Modi has a huge role in Rajasthan. We won because people want his style of governance," Raje said when the assembly results were announced
