Kuwait National Library has installed an electronic system as part of a project to upgrade its documentation and services. The library general director, Kamel Al-Abduljeli, said in a statement that the electronic project is aimed at preserving the national literary and intellectual heritage, including history and culture books and references.

With installment of the electronic network, the library will be a reference for the national archive, following example of top libraries worldwide. Contents of valuable books have been loaded into the digital system, he explained. The project also includes assembling documents, maps, manuscripts, as well as stamps, old currencies and coins.
