May 23, 2015, 8:13 am

The Ministry of Health has been contemplating on the need to stop dealing with some hospitals in the United States and Jordan where Kuwaiti patients are referred to, reports a local daily. Asource informed that the decision is based on reports from Kuwait health offices in the US and Jordan regarding the high cost of treatment and unacceptable method of handling patients.

He explained a hospital in the United States dealt with a Kuwaiti patient in a deplorable manner and charged exorbitant fees for the treatment which contravened the agreement. He said the same reason has prompted other GCC countries to stop dealing with the hospital. Talking about the concerned hospitals in Jordan, the source disclosed one of these hospitals increased fees for treating non-Jordanian patients by almost 40 percent last month
