Officers, civilians honored for aiding nab Farwaniya culprits

Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Lt Gen Sulaiman Al-Fahad honors the expatriates who helped bring about the arrest of culprits.

Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sulaiman Fahad Al- Fahad, on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, honored the officers who arrested the youths involved in an attack on the police on Wednesday in Farwaniya.

Civilians who assisted in the arrest of the youths were also honored during the ceremony, which was held inside the headquarters of Ministry of Interior on Thursday morning. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the officers and civilians were honored for their gallant efforts in controlling the lawbreakers during the incident.

The officers who were honored during the ceremony included Director General of Farwaniya Security Directorate Brigadier Saleh Matar Al-Enezi, Captain Meshal Kemikh Al-Mutairi, Lieutenant Khalid Tareq Al-Bloushi, Sergeant Major Mohammad Nasser Al-Enezi and Vice Corporal Abdulaziz Ata Al-Shammari. Expatriate civilians Essa Mohammad Mohammad and Khalil Essa Mohammad were also honored. Lieutenant General Al-Fahad conveyed a message of appreciation from the minister, who declared that the ministry will never tolerate any attack against its officers or any action that could degrade them and cause public security disorder.

Lieutenant General Al-Fahad assured that the minister will support officers on duty with all necessary capabilities for their security against unscrupulous elements, affirming that application of law is mandatory for officers. He commended the honorees for their gallantry against lawbreakers who are adamant about disrupting national security, affirming that the strong will, dedication and sense of responsibility of the honorees succeeded in overpowering the suspects.

He stressed that the rapid response of the officers indicates the high alertness of Kuwaiti security operatives for dealing with any undesirable situation.
