PR, Customer Service Award contributes to state development plan

Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Hind Al-Sabeeh said that state sponsorship of the Public Relations and Customer Service Award stems from its importance to human development, one of the "Kuwait 2035" vision's two main pillars.

The prize, organised by the non-profit Kuwait Public Relations Association, aims to usher forward the national economy as it focuses on competitive and quality assurance indices, she said in remarks at the closing ceremony.

The annual event hosts workshops and specialised courses in the field for private and public sector employees throughout the year, and does much to instil the principles of leadership and excellence in the services sector, Al-Sabeeh, also Minister of State for Economic Affairs, explained.

Due to its importance, it has received the backing of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for a third year in a row.

Businesses are fundamental partners in sustainable development as the nation look to implement its strategy aimed at transforming its economy into a leading regional financial hub, she added.

For his part, the event's chief organier and Kuwait Public Relations Association chairman Jamal Al-Nasrallah said the event awarded 46 individuals and entities for their accomplishments.
