Public to get ‘Iranian bread’ at previous rate
January 9, 2015, 8:14 am

Deputy Board Chairman of Omariya Cooperative Society Mohammad Al-Ajmi announced that the problem facing cooperative societies in most areas across the country regarding selling Iranian bread has been solved. Al-Ajmi revealed that managements of the cooperative societies have guaranteed diesel and kerosene subsidy for bakeries within their premises to encourage them to produce the same size of bread for 20 fils.

Meanwhile, many citizens also expressed concern over the way the Ministers Council is handling the issue of subsidy removal, which has led to hike in the prices of essential commodities. They revealed that many Iranian bakeries have closed down in investment areas while those in private residential areas are continuing with normal production
