Sheikh Salman: Kuwait will spare no effort to back inter-Arab solidarity

Information Minister Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah said Saturday Kuwait, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, would spare no effort to support inter-Arab cooperation and solidarity amidst "tragic" regional developments.

Sheikh Salman, also Minister of State for Youth Affairs, said Arab conciliation was a "principle" for Kuwait for the sake of boosting cooperation and solidarity among Arab countries.

Speaking to reporters covering the 25th Arab summit, due in Kuwait on March 25-26, Sheikh Salman hoped the high-level meeting would result in unifed solutions for the political problems and the "tragic" developments in the region.

"there are pressing Arab issues that need rapid solutions, foremost the Palestinian cause and the tragedy that Syria has been witnessing for more than three years," said Sheikh Salman, and hoped the summit would reunite the Arabs.

He added the Arab leaders would discuss a host of economic and social issues with the objective of boosting development and prosperity.

Sheikh Salman said the Arab and Gulf media were playing a major role to fostering economic cooperation among the Arab countries as well as creating suitable atmospheres to iron out differences.
