June 23, 2015, 11:23 am

The Court of First Instance recently ruled in favor of an unidentified student who was beaten by another student and obliged the Ministry of Education and the parent of the suspect to pay the victim KD 50,000 compensation.

Case papers indicate the victim was beaten in the eye which caused him serious injury and more health complications. Moreover, the victim lost between 20 and 30 percent of the visibility and 15 percent of physical disability as a result of the incident. The lawyer for the plaintiff Hisham Al-Fahd said the son of the defendant has been proven guilty which made his father and the teacher who was present at the time of the incident responsible for the act because the as the guardian is responsible for the behavior of his son and the teacher could prevent the incident.
