Security operatives attached to Jahra Command referred a 20-year old Syrian to the State Security Department for interrogation on suspicion of supporting DAESH. The officers caught the suspect at Jahra Industrial Area with DAESH slogan displayed as the screen saver on his mobile phone, with several activities of the group saved on the device, reports Arab Times.

Apparently, the officers were on patrol at a makeshift checkpoint in the governorate in line with instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Major General Abdul-Fattah Al-Ali and Jahra Security Chief Major General Ibrahim Al- Tarrah when they caught the suspect.

Sources said the police have since arrested his relatives and associates for interrogations.
