Ten members of the National Assembly on Tuesday lodged an motion to withdraw confidence from Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Minister of Health Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.

The move followed the discussion of an interpellation of the minister at today's session.

Based on Article 101 of the Constitution and Article 144 of the Statutes of the Assembly, the motion will be discussed at the session of November 26, Al-Ghanim stated.

Commenting on Minister Dashti's remarks at the session, MP Hussein Al-Qowi'an who raised the grilling request, said he was convinced of Dr. Dashti's justifications.

"The Ministry of Health is involved in irregularities as proven in the recent reports of the State Audit Bureau (SAB)," he protested.
Al-Qowi'an referred to the recent joint meeting of the ministries of health and public works when they agreed to allocate KD 35 million to envisaged projects.

He added that the minister (Dr. Dashti) had no right to question the constitutionality of an interpellation, affirming plan to grill minister of public works. Today's session also referred to the parliamentary committee on health, social and labor affairs the decision to delegate chairperson of the Amiri Hospital's ICU division to the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
