Assistant Director General of Urbanization and Structural Plan at Kuwait Municipality Ahmad Al-Manfoohi says the tire dump in Arahiya and high tension power lines in Nae’em area hinder the distribution of residential plots in Saad Al- Abdullah, reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Manfoohi noted the Municipal Council’s decision to make Nae’em area a substitute for tire dump in Arahiya, the poultry farms, wells and the scrap yard revealed serious obstacles against the implementation of the projects, and according to the contract, the property owners should not be compensated once an appropriate alternative is offered with an appropriate infrastructure and electricity supply.

He explained that the council which has been formed to resolve the problem of Saad Al-Abdullah proposed to the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) to distribute nearly 30,000 residential units in the area which is ready for use, in order to save time, while the remaining 13,000 units will be distributed after the obstacles have been removed.
