Traffic Department gears up to deal with Ramadan rush

Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdullah Al- Muhanna affirmed the readiness of the traffic sector to deal with traffic affairs during the holy month of Ramadan, to ensure Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates abide by the traffic rules and to facilitate the traffic processes and transactions for them. In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, he explained that all departments and units of vehicle registration, drivers’ licenses, technical inspections, traffic violation inspections and driving tests will work on two shifts.

The morning shift will be from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm while the evening shift will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Major General Al-Muhanna revealed that the working hours of Traffic Test Unit of Farwaniya Traffic Department will be open from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm only for expatriates, adding that technical inspection centers and companies will also work on two shifts — morning shift from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm and evening shift from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
