Security officers at the Kuwait International Airport recently foiled an attempt by two Asians to leave the country using forged passports, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, one of the securitymen manning the departure gate was surprised when he saw an airport employee accompanying the two passengers and asked permission to board the plane.
The securityman, who is tasked with checking passports, discovered the two passports do not belong to the Asians and informed his superior. Interrogations revealed the employee had taken money from the Asians to facilitate their departure from the country illegally. The trio has been referred to the Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh Police Station for interrogation.
