The Court of Cassation upheld the verdict issued by the Court of Appeals which issued death sentence against an Indian expatriate after he was convicted of deliberately killing his compatriot in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area during a dispute in 2013, reports local daily.

The Court of Appeals also sentenced a Filipino expatriate to death by hanging after he was convicted of murdering his wife in 2014 in a premeditated manner by stabbing her.

In addition, the Criminal Court sentenced to death two expatriates — an Arab and an Asian — who were convicted of drug peddling.

Worker kills self: An Indian laborer committed suicide by hanging in the animal pen of his Kuwaiti sponsor in Kabad. According to a security source, the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received a call from the sponsor who found the Indian hanging from a rope upon entering the animal pen.

Securitymen and medical emergency workers rushed to the location. However when they took the Indian down, he was already dead. His remains were referred to Forensics. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the suicide.
