Acting Director General of Immigration Affairs Major General Talal Marafi has issued a decision that only allows drivers and company representatives (mandoub) to return to the country two years after their departure, reports Al- Anba daily. According to ministerial decision No. 393/2013 that amended the provisions of ministerial decision No. 76/78 of the traffic regulation specifying categories which are exempted from the conditions of obtaining driving license, entry work visas will not be issued to drivers and mandoubs that leave the country unless they spend two years outside.

The department has amended the condition of issuing entry work visas, and effective from May 18, 2014, it will not allow the issuance of entry visas to individuals working as drivers or mandoubs who were previously working in the country under Articles 17,18,19,20 and left.

He noted the category will not be issued entry visas unless they stay outside the country for more than two years starting from the day of their departure.
