We take ISIL threats seriously - Foreign Ministry official

Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Khaled Al-Jarallah said Wednesday that his ministry takes "seriously" ISIL threats of kidnapping GCC nationals abroad, stressing that nationals and embassies has been notified to be extra cautious.

Al-Jarallah addressed reporters on the sideline of the Iranian Embassy's celebration of the Islamic Revolution anniversary, saying that the ministry has made all contacts necessary in the region to ensure the safety and adequate respond to the threats.

Meanwhile, the diplomat praised bilateral relations between Kuwait and Iran, describing them as "advanced and exceptional." Marking the 36th anniversary, Al-Jarallah mentioned the historic visit by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Tehran recently, which "pushed" forward ties between the two countries.
