An official at the Ministry of Trade and Industries revealed that 120,000 kilos of onions were imported from Yemen and will continue to be supplied on a daily basis. The source stated the red Yemeni onions were transported by vehicles via the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kuwait.
Indian onions will be arriving within days after procedures for importing them were set up. Sources said that equal quantities will be distributed for each association in the country on a daily basis.
