National carrier Kuwait Airways is reportedly in another crisis after 26 pilots and other employees tendered their resignation en masse to the Deputy Chief Executive for Operations. In their letter of resignation, the employees are understood to have detailed the grievances that led to their resignation from service.

Board of directors is said to have held an urgent meeting with representatives of the group to discuss their complaints and to attempt to get them to withdraw their resignation. A committee has now been set up, comprising members of the board and officials from the executive management, to discuss the pilots’ demands.

The committee will explore whether it is possible to meet the requests of the resignees without infringing on regulations set up by the Civil Aviation authorities and international technical standards on airline operations.
