Kuwait’s higher authority for sighting the Shawal crescent announced on Monday that Eid Al-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, begins on Tuesday.
The authority chief, justice Jassem Al-Mutawaa, said in a statement that the sighting of the crescent had been authenticated.
He addressed congratulations on the happy occasion to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the premier, the people of Kuwait, Arab and Muslim nations.
Identical sentiments were expressed by the Minister of Justice, the Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Dr. Fahad Al-Afasi.
Other states that have announced celebrating the eid tomorrow were Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iraq’s Kurdistan, Qatar and Bahrain.
