BAS visits Ireland and Northern Ireland

The British Academy of Sport (BAS) organized another successful sports trip for the third time to Carlingford, Dundalk and Dublin in Ireland and for the first time to the Titanic Museum in Belfast Northen Ireland. The BAS Students were the first student group from Kuwait who ever visited the Titanic Museum.

A group of 20 students and 3 teachers enjoyed a complete adventure and fun holiday as part of their spring term break.

The six-day trip was in the Carlingford region, which is a beautiful resort and a coastal town and townland in northern County Louth. It allowed the students to tour the many medieval houses and admire the views, particularly of the seaside.

The students had a great time and enjoyed many sports activities including Raft Building Challenge, Zipwire, Skypark, Archery, Laser Combat, Aeroball, 3D Maze, Rock Climbing, Challenge Island, Team building games,Trampo in Dundalk and the exceptional Leprechaun Hunt. Apart from these activities they had also two special evening activities including Night in the forest and Murder Mystery where they learnt the essential surviving skills that everyone needs to know.

All these activities were planned in advanced special for BAS Students from Carlingford Adventure Center, which is the biggest Adventure Center from Ireland.

The students have also spent a wonderful time and visited the third biggest stadium in Europe Croke Park Stadium in Dublin. At the stadium, the children were fascinated to learn about the Gaelic Games including Hurling and Gaelic Football.

The trip culminated with an Awards Evening where most of the students participated in the traditional show ‘BAS Got Talent Show’ and all received medals, certificates and souvenirs of this historic trip.

This amazing trip was organized in collaboration with the Irish Embassy from UAE and was sponsored by KIB, Royale Hayat Hospital, 4FEST, ABC, ITL World and Crown Plaza Hotel.

BAS is planning, for now, to organize other two sports trips for the next academic year during the Academy Term Breaks in October and April.

The next important events at BAS are the Sports Awards Evening, Swimming Gala, and the Summer Sports and Swimming Camps, which will start from 9 June and 16 June.
