British Airways announced on Wednesday, the suspension of 91 flights and more than 200 delayed over IT glitch. British Airways’ statement said 81 flights were cancelled in Heathrow airport, and 10 Gatwick airways flights were also affected, while 200 other flights were delayed, with some more than five hours behind schedule in London City airport.

The statement called on British Airways passengers to check their flights before going to the airports, stressing that it will overcome problem swiftly, however there was no interruption of operations outside Britain. This came a month after the British authorities fined the company US$230 million negligence in protection of customer data” while its pilots have been considering a two-week strike to demand a money raise.
